CANINE ANCESTRY DNA TESTING
DoggieDNAPrint™
Based on a scientific research paper published in 2004 (Genetic Structure of the Purebred Dog by Parker, et al.), this new DNA test can provide you with a better understanding of your dog’s genetic ancestry or lineage.
The DoggieDNAPrint™ test will provide you with the following:
1) A DNA test report showing your dog’s genotypes at each of the 204 loci used for determining ancestry.
2) The estimated percentage of ancestry from the four following population groups:
- Wolf-Like
- Herders
- Hunters
- Mastiffs
3) 15-N population results—a series of 15 numbers that can be used to uncover breeds that most closely match your dog's genotype. You will be provided with an ID number and password in order to access the Doggie DNAPrint database online.
